Installing the Enterprise Connector

1min

The following steps outline how to install the Docuflow Enterprise Connector.

  1. Obtain the latest docuflow installer from a VersaFile representative.
  2. Run the Docuflow installer with administrative permissions on the server where docuflow is to be installed.
    1. By default, Docuflow will install to: C:\VersaFile\Enterprise Connector\
    2. We recommend changing the installation folder by adjusting the installation path (on the target path page) to: D:\VersaFile\Enterprise Connector\ or to an extra drive available on the server that is not on the C: drive.
    3. Optionally you can unselect the Windows Service from being installed by unselecting “Service“ on the installation package options. This is useful if you wish to administer docuflow manually or without using a service.
  3. Adjust the “Log On” properties of the Docuflow Windows services if folder permissions on the server restrict processing. Use the service account mentioned in the installation requirements.
  4. Extract SAP JCO into the “jco” folder:
    1. Download the appropriate SAP JCO 64bit version from SAP’s marketplace (this will be provided by your SAP Basis team)
    2. Place the extracted contents into the jco folder under lib.
    3. For windows installations sapjco3.dll is also required to be placed into the jco folder.
      1. Note: JCO is sometimes two different compressed or zipped up files. Ensure the lowest level is extracted and placed in the jco folder. You will know the correct files are present if sapjco3.jar is found in the top level jco folder under lib.
  5. Configure SAP JCO particulars .
    1. In order to use service names in the SAP configuration you will need to adjust the services file to map message and gateway services to their port numbers. When configuring the services, you also have the option to use the port numbers instead of service names in which case you can skip this step. Ex for system number 21 and system name SAPQA:
      1. sapmsSAPQA 3621/tcp
      2. sapgw213321/tcp
    2. The services file can typically be found at: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
  6. Obtain a docuflow authorization token from a VersaFile representative. This token will be used when configuring the docuflow Enterprise Connector. In the active configuration .ini file you will enter this token under the field “authentication.token=” or also via the Profile Wizard under the Profile->Authorize menu path (see Base docuflow Enterprise Connector Configuration – docuflow ECM Only) for more information.
