## docuflow Middleware Deployment and Network Requirements

### Deployment Options

The **docuflow middleware component** (docuflow Enterprise Connector) can be deployed in various environments including:

- On-premises servers
- Private cloud infrastructure
- Fully managed service offered by VersaFile

### Recommended Server Resources for On-Premises or Private Cloud Deployments

| Component                    | Recommended Specification                                 |
| ---------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Operating Systems**        | Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019                  |
| **CPU**                      | Minimum 4 cores or 4 physical CPUs, each at least 2.0 GHz |
| **Disk Space**               | Minimum 40 GB                                             |
| **RAM**                      | Minimum 16 GB                                             |
| **Java Runtime Environment** | OpenJDK 17 LTS or later                                   |

### Network Access and Firewall Configuration for Repository API Access

To enable full functionality, the middleware server must have outbound network access to the content repository’s API endpoints.
