SuccessFactors App Setup
In this section, the HTML5 applications will be configured in SuccessFactors.
Log into SuccessFactors with an Administrative account and navigate to the Extension Center
Navigate to the 'Extensions on SAP BTP' tab and click on the 'link' under 'SAP Cloud Portal URL'
The SuccessFactors Extension Directory will open. Click on the giant plus button.
Set the following values for the new Extension and click the 'Create' button
- Extension Name: Document Search
- Template Source: SuccessFactors Extensions
- Choose Single App Extension
Once the Extension has been created, navigate to Content Management -> Apps and click the Edit button
Choose the registered application from the BTP Platform (sfdocumentsearch)
After selection the BTP Application click SAVE
Next, navigate to 'Menu Editor' and click the edit pencil icon
Set the display name to 'Document Search' and click the 'Save' button
After updating the menu display name, click the 'Save' button in the lower right. You can now close the 'Menu Editor' browser tab and return to the 'Extension Directory'
Select your new Extension, click the 'Edit' button and select 'Publish'
Next, register the Extension with the Custom Navigation in SuccessFactors
Navigate to the 'Configure Custom Navigation' in SuccessFactors admin tools
Add a new line with the following values:
- Menu Item Label: Document Search
- ID: <next unused value>
- Link Type: External Link - New Tab/Window
- URL: Copy from the Extension Published
- Menu Location: <select where the menu should appear>
- Permissions: <select groups to see menu option>
